Motivation

SAS Group and GWC Group have been engaged in assisting disadvantaged in society for long time.
In view of the severe disaster in Türkiye and Syrian, and the serious living ordeal that the victims facing with,
it would be a strong fortress for them if we can provide our assistance
to help them get through of the emergency and help them back to normal gradually.
World Vision Taiwan has been engaged in assistance of disadvantaged families and the children from them.
World Vision Taiwan always do their best to provide practical support and
gather the resources from the society to help these families and children.
This time the Groups cooperated with World Vision Taiwan
that hoping to contribute our caring and assistance to these families.

Motivation

Vison is one of five senses of humanity. It is not only an important sense for basic living needs, but also is an important intermediary to let us understand the world and experience our life.
However, there are some people who are suffering a bunch of inconveniences and agonies.
No matter the congenital or acquired reason which caused to visually challenged,
they can’t live a life like us due to their physical limitation, and it also makes them become disadvantaged.

This project is expected to provide Taiwan Foundation for Blind the funding to purchase white cane, and provide one-to-one training course for visually challenged to make them can live independently. It is expected to reduce the caring burden on their families as well. The estimated fundraising amount for this project is NTD 100,000. At last, with the help of the employees and the assistance of the Groups, the fundraising goal were be completed.

Conclusion

Above all is Taiwan Foundation for Blind transforming the resources from all walks of life and the efforts of the foundation colleagues into the strongest support for visually challenged.

Social incidents often cause misfortune.
When we learn about these news from the media, the real ordeal for the victims have just begun.
Some got serious injury, some plunged into financial crisis, some became bereave and keep suffering the heartache. These people who are forced to face the monstrous pressure can be easily lost the connection with our society and become the disadvantaged.
In order to help these disadvantaged groups tide over the difficulties,
SAS Group and GWC Group not only held an internal fundraising activity
but also encourage employees to care about the disadvantaged people in Taiwan,
We expect that employees to help these people in need through the fundraising activity.

Conclusion

Much appreciate for the perseverance and hard work of Association for Victim Support (ACS), so that victims can gradually get through the ordealand learn how to be self-reliant again. In addition, Association for VictimSupport (ACS) provided an opportunity for victims to sale their handmadeproducts by conducting the bazaar. It not only made them to received more concentration from public, but also gave them a chance to have a new life.

Hsinchu Taiwan Fund for Children and Families Garden Party Charity

Hsinchu Taiwan Fund for Children and Families has launched the Garden Party Charity for at least 30 years. It launches a large-scale garden party charity for families who need some assistance at the end of each year. It hopes that there would be a lively and happy occasion for families who usually live in a hard time can have some joy with their family members.

Conclusion

《Together You and Me, Let's be Earth Friendly》
Beach Cleaning Event

GlobalWafers Co., Ltd. hosted the 2020 “Together You and Me, Let’s be Earth Friendly” beach cleaning activity. Joined by GlobalWafers Co., Ltd., Crystalwise Technology Inc., Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. and its SAS-Sunrise branch, totaled 110 participants. During the event, we successfully collected about 2,000 kilograms of garbage in the morning of November 7th at the beach in Zhunan Long Fong Fishing Port. In the future, apart from revenue growth, the Company will consistently dedicate itself into “ E (environmental issues), S (social responsibility), G (corporate governance) ” in order to achieve sustainable development.

Conclusion

Today 's event was very successful! Seeing the children' s serious appearance and smile not only makes us very touched, but also reminds us of our mission of continuous efforts for these children. Thank you very much for the assistance of all the staff. Without you, we would not be able to complete such a meaningful activity.   With the unified efforts of 47 passionate participants, the company was able to gather 18 large bags of carefully sorted garbage. These included PET bottles, Styrofoam pieces, plastic baskets, fishnet-tangled seaweed, milk tea cartons, and other miscellaneous man-made wastes which would have been extremely detrimental to ocean organisms.   The heart-warming sight of family and corporate teamwork to give back to the environment made this event invaluable. Supplemented with an educational workshop in the beginning, the beach cleanup event taught participants about sustainability and concrete actions for environmental protection. Overall, this event was a success, and it contributed to the company commitment to social and environmental good.
