January 8, 2021 – Sino-American Silicon announced its revenue today that the consolidated revenue in December 2020 reached NT$5.49 billion, 6.74% MoM and 3.60% YoY. The revenue from solar related products in December was NT$0.56 billion, 22.98% MoM. FY2020 consolidated revenue of Sino-American Silicon hit NT$61.40 billion, the third highest in record. Compared with 2019, there is a decrease of 6.28%. Excluding the impact from exchange rates, the FY2020 and FY2019 revenue in U.S. Dollar are similar, with a slight decline by 1.9%.

GlobalWafers, a subsidiary of Sino-American Silicon in the semiconductor industry, also announced its revenue today. The consolidated revenue in December 2020 reached NT$4.93 billion, 5.12% MoM and 3.93% YoY. FY2020 consolidated revenue of GlobalWafers reached NT$55.36 billion and the third highest in record! Due to strong appreciation of New Taiwan Dollar, FY2020 revenue compared to FY2019 decreased by 4.71%. If calculated in US Dollars, FY2020 revenue would be close to FY2019 revenue, a slight decline by 0.26%. GlobalWafers contributed up to 90% of revenue to its parent company, Sino-American Silicon.
