SAS Announced Q3 EPS of NT$1.42 Cumulated EPS of NT$4.35 for Q1-Q3 2018

Hsinchu, Taiwan, November 13, 2018 – Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. (SAS) today announced Q3 2018 consolidated revenue of NT$17.27 billion, gross profit of NT$5.2 billion, operating profit of NT$3.87 billion, income before tax of NT$3.82 billion, net income attributable to the parent company of NT$0.82 billion, and EPS of NT$1.42.
GlobalWafers Co., Ltd. (GWC), its semiconductor subsidiary, announced consolidated revenue of NT$15.16 billion, net income of NT$3.63 billion and EPS of NT$8.31 for Q3 2018.

SAS’ gross margin for Q3 was 30.1% while operating margin was 22.4% and net profit margin was 15%. Year over year, consolidated revenue increased 9.5% while gross margin increased 57.1%. Operating income increased 85.1% with a 7.3% rise in net income attributable to the parent company and an increase in EPS of NT$0.08. Benefitting from lucrative gains of GWC who hit a record high again in Q3, SAS’ Q3 2018 revenue performance has achieved a second high of all time.

Consolidated financial results for Q1-Q3 2018: year over year, consolidated revenues totaled NT$51.47 billion, an increase of 18.7%. Gross profit was NT$14.7 billion, an increase of 91.9%. Operating profit was NT$10.6 billion, an increase of 162.6%. Net income attributed to the parent company came to NT$2.52 billion, a significant increase of 411.4% while EPS reached NT$4.35 from NT$3.49.
Consolidated revenue of GWC for Q1-Q3 2018 was NT$43.44 billion with a high EPS of NT$22.66, accounting for more than 85% of the total revenue of SAS.

SAS continues with sound and steady operation under good cash position. In the future, SAS will actively cooperate with the government’s green energy policy and continue to develop PV systems. Moreover, for even better business performance and industrial competitiveness, SAS in the solar business has expanded its development in more niche markets such as PV power generation facilities and smart grids etc. Furthermore, strong earnings of GWC will also help boost SAS’ operation bringing meaningful and optimistic future performance.
