SAS Announced Second Quarter EPS of NT$0.22

Hsinchu, Taiwan, August 10, 2017 – SAS today announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2017. Consolidated revenue was NT$14 billion, a 3.2% increase from NT$13.6 billion in the previous quarter and a significant increase of 85.6% from NT$7.6 billion in the same period last year. Gross profit was NT$2.5 billion, a 35.6% increase from Q1 and 83.7% year over year. Operating profit was NT$1.3 billion, a 100.9% increase from Q1 and 66.8% year over year. Net income attributed to parent company came to NT$0.13 billion, a significant improvement from the loss of NT$0.4 billion in Q1. Earnings per share after tax for Q2 were NT$0.22, higher than that of NT$(0.70) for Q1. SAS profitably swept away the haze in Q2 by showing a turnaround over the loss for the past three quarters.

The SAS group consolidated financial results for the 1H 2017: year over year, total consolidated revenues achieved NT$27.6 billion, an increase of 88.5% from NT$14.6 billion. Gross profit was NT$4.35 billion, an increase of 75% from NT$2.5 billion. Operating profit was NT$1.95 billion, an increase of 44.6% from NT$1.35 billion. Net income attributed to parent company was NT$(0.28) billion with EPS of NT$(0.48). Total revenue for the 1H from its subsidiary GWC came approximately 80% of the group revenue to NT$21.8 billion with operating profit of NT$2.78 billion, net income of NT$1.64 billion and EPS of NT$4.17.
