SAS June 2018 Revenue Report New Quarterly Record High in Q2

Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 9, 2018 – SAS today announced its revenues for June. Consolidated revenue was NT$5.73 billion, a 2.2% decline from May 2018 and an increase of 10.9% year over year. Revenue for the solar business was NT$0.73 billion, declines of 32.5% from May and 29.7% year over year. Consolidated revenue for the second quarter was NT$17.3 billion, recording an all time high with a 2.5% increase from the previous quarter and a 23.5% increase year over year. Consolidated revenue of the solar business for the second quarter totaled NT$2.95 billion, a slight decline of 1.2% from the previous period and a 5% increase a year earlier. SAS accumulated NT$34.2 billion in revenue for the first half of 2018, a 23.9% increase from the same period last year.

Subsidiary company GWC’s June revenue was NT$5 billion, an all time high again with increases of 4.7% from May 2018 and 21.3% year over year. Consolidated revenue for the second quarter came to NT$14.36 billion, a 3.3% increase from the previous quarter and a 28.2% increase year over year. First half of 2018 revenue was NT$28.27 billion, a 29.8% increase from the same period last year. The second quarter revenue has achieved the 10th consecutive growth.

Fluctuated by China new PV subsidy policy and the US-China trade war, the solar market is currently in an even worse situation. In order to break through and survive this tough environment, SAS aggressively proceeds with solar power plant projects to enlarge its own PV product consumption. Besides, subsidiary company GWC has contributed nearly 85% of SAS’ revenue that helps a lot too for stable growth.
