Hsinchu, Taiwan, April 8, 2019 – SAS today announced its revenue for March 2019. On a consolidated basis, revenue for March 2019 was NT$6.3 billion, a historic high record with an increase of 16.9% from February 2019 and an increase of 6.8% year over year. Revenue for the solar business was NT$0.6 billion, a decrease of 4.8% from February 2019 and a decrease of 38.3% year over year.
Consolidated revenue for the first quarter 2019 was NT$17.5 billion, a decrease of 1.5% from the previous quarter and an increase of 3.6% year over year.
The subsidiary company, GlobalWafers’ revenue for March 2019 was NT$5.6 billion, an all time high again with an increase of 19.9% from February 2019 and an increase of 16.2% year over year.
Consolidated revenue of GlobalWafers for the first quarter 2019 came to NT$15.6 billion, a slight decrease of 0.2% from the previous quarter and an increase of 12.1% year over year. GlobalWafers contributed 90.1% of SAS’ revenue in March and a 89.1% revenue injection for the first quarter 2019.
With a stable financial structure and sufficient working capital, SAS is establishing a solid foundation for its business transformation in the future.
