SAS reported today the revenue of June. Consolidated revenue reaching NT$2.77 billion, 10.5% growth MoM and 6.5 % growth YoY, SAS reached a new all time high with a giant leap in June. Net sales of the solar business is NT$1.43 billion, 20.7% growth MoM and 11.3% growth YoY. Net sales of the semiconductor business GWC is NT$1.34 billion, 1.4% growth MoM and 1.7% growth YoY. Accordingly consolidated revenue of SAS from January to June this year has totaled NT$14.64 billion, up 5.2% including a great increase of 20.3% for the solar unit compared to the prior first half.
The revenue of SAS for the first half of 2016 also reflected a brilliant performance on account of a significant boost for boom of the entire solar industry driven by strong demand in China in the first half of 2016. In comparison, the solar industry in the second half seems a little bit slower than first half, yet the total demand for global installation this year still keeps steady at about 65~69GW. SAS, with an optimistic view, believes that solar products are beyond doubt the best solution for energy saving and carbon emission reduction to people at every region under the rise of environmental awareness.
