Sino-American Silicon (SAS) released its April results today that its April consolidated revenue achieved NT$6.4 billion with 5.5% YoY; GlobalWafers (GWC), the semiconductor subsidiary of SAS, also announced its April results today, its consolidated revenue in April totaled NT$5.6 billion with 7.15% YoY.

In line with the momentum of customers’ procurement, GlobalWafers’ shipments in the first month of each quarter are usually lower and the shipments are concentrated at the end of each quarter. The fluctuation in April revenue is consistent with the previous pattern. Moving into the second quarter 2023, due to uncertain economic outlook and low visibility for some products, a small number of customers hope to delay shipments for the second quarter by a month or two. Accordingly, GlobalWafers continues to negotiate actively with our customers.
