Taipei, Taiwan, August 20, 2026 – Susen Green Energy Co., Ltd. (SGE, 7931:TT) today announced that its renewable energy development subsidiary, Sustainable Energy Solution Co., Ltd. (SES), together with its parent company, the Sino-American Silicon Products (SAS) Group, has entered into a 20-year Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with Aquila Clean Energy APAC (Aquila Clean Energy), a renewable energy developer and independent power producer. The agreement covers a total installed capacity of 26.3MW and is expected to supply more than 32 million kWh of renewable electricity annually. The collaboration will further expand SGE’s long-term renewable electricity portfolio and supply capabilities, enabling the Company to better support corporate customers in achieving RE100 commitments, Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) goals, and supply-chain decarbonization requirements.
The renewable electricity supplied under the agreement will be generated from a 26.3MW fishery-solar photovoltaic project located in Xuejia and Madou Districts, Tainan City. Under the partnership, Aquila Clean Energy will provide renewable electricity generated by the project, while SES will be responsible for renewable electricity aggregation, trading, and power wheeling services. The project is expected to generate more than 32 million kWh of renewable electricity annually, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 14,900 metric tons of CO₂ equivalent (CO₂e) each year. Over the 20-year contract term, cumulative electricity generation is projected to exceed 640 million kWh, with total carbon reductions exceeding 290,000 metric tons of CO₂e. Developed under a fishery-solar model, the project supports renewable energy development while maintaining aquaculture production, balancing renewable electricity generation with sustainable land utilization.
SGE, a member of the SAS Group, is a comprehensive provider of corporate energy transition solutions, integrating renewable energy development, electricity retail, energy storage, and energy efficiency services to deliver one-stop energy solutions for enterprises. Its subsidiary, SES, specializes in Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs), renewable electricity trading, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and energy management services, helping enterprises develop renewable energy procurement strategies. Aquila Clean Energy APAC is a clean energy platform focused on the development, construction, and operation of clean energy projects throughout Taiwan and the broader Asia Pacific region. By combining the expertise of both companies in renewable energy development, renewable electricity integration, and wheeling services, this partnership provides enterprises with a reliable and long-term source of renewable electricity.
In addition, the CPPA transaction incorporates Bank SinoPac’s renewable electricity trust mechanism, which provides transaction settlement and contract performance management services through a trust structure. This arrangement enhances transaction transparency and strengthens performance safeguards under the long-term power purchase agreement, further improving the renewable electricity trading mechanism.
Pedersen Chen, President of SAS and Chairman of SGE, commented “As global supply chains continue to accelerate their low-carbon transition, renewable electricity has become an essential foundation for companies seeking to maintain competitiveness and address customers’ decarbonization requirements. This 20-year CPPA with Aquila Clean Energy not only further expands SGE’s renewable electricity portfolio but also strengthens our overall renewable energy supply and service capabilities. Looking ahead, SGE will continue integrating renewable energy development, electricity retail, energy storage, energy efficiency, and energy management services to help enterprises increase renewable energy adoption while advancing their decarbonization commitments and net-zero transition goals.”
Morris Lu, Head of Taiwan, Aquila Clean Energy, said “CPPAs provide renewable energy projects with a stable foundation for long-term operations while enabling enterprises to secure reliable renewable electricity supplies, making them an important mechanism for accelerating renewable energy deployment. This long-term partnership with SES combines the strengths of both companies in renewable energy development and green power services, enhancing supply stability while supporting Taiwan’s corporate energy transition and the development of the renewable energy market.”
